The Closer Season Four - Episodes 9 and 10

WOW, it's been a while.  Things have been a little crazy and then we went on vacation for a week....  then it took me another week to get back into my routine again, but I'm finally getting back into the swing of things.

I was hoping to finish my rewatch / commentary before Season 7 starts but I don't know that I'll have time to do that since June is fast approaching and I'm still on Season 4.  BUT, that's okay because I can't wait for the season premiere.  I also fully intend to continue my rewatch as well so I'm just going to proceed as I have been.

tonight I have comments on eps. 9 and 10....

Episode 9 was an okay episode for me. I didn’t dislike it, but it wasn’t my favorite. This episode deals with two dead Mexican police officers found in the back of a pickup truck.

====
====

The beginning of this episode is kinda disturbing. The whole ‘Last Rights’ thing in the back of a pickup was just odd.

====
====

I love Brenda’s boots that she has when she shows up at the crime scene… they just go lovely with the dress! LOLs.

====
====

Will is too funny about the whole way to deal with the Church.

Will:When you want to interact with the Catholic Church you need to go through a Deputy Chief

Brenda:I AM a Deputy Chief

Will:Yeah. I mean, you know, a real GROWN-UP Deputy Chief with management and administrative duties.

====
====

Poor Brenda. Man oh man was she ever blind-sided by that whole ‘Ramos’ thing.

Remember back when I said I neither liked or disliked Ramos… I take it back.

I hate that fucker.

I can’t believe that Will dismantled PHD.

I also wanted to put my fist through Taylor’s face… what the hell was he doing there anyway?

====
====

So when Brenda left Will’s office, I was aching for her. I was so glad that Fritz showed up when he did.

====
====

So what’s with Taylor and the whole “Trust me, I’m working all this out”…

I don’t trust him. I know he’s had his moments but I still don’t trust him.

====
====

Have I mentioned how much I love the flamin’ Medical Examiner?

====
====
The meeting with Ramos was perfect.
I laughed my ass off at the way that Brenda ran with the whole “renaming” of her squad….. and ended up pretty much running half the department by the time she was done.

====
====

Oh man, Brenda can be one nasty devious individual when she’s pushed. When that Mexican cop started giving her a hard time and she decided to arrest him under the name of the man he’d put a hit out on…. Ohhhhhhhhh lordy! You go girl

====
====

I love the way this episode ended with Fritz and Brenda in a church…

I can’t wait for the wedding.

Episode 10

This episode deals with a plot similar to the Columbine Massacre and Major Crime’s race to stop it before anyone gets killed.

====
====

This episode is unique in that it starts out as being quite funny but the mood quickly turns serious as the story line unfolds.

I love the way this episode starts. Brenda is so frakking funny when they realize that there’s a bomb in the apartment but she still doesn’t want to leave because they didn’t get the wallet and the computer.

Sanchez hauling her out over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes as she yells. “My Purse, my purse”….

OMG Bust a gut!

====
====

I think Tao has a crush on Babs. LOLs, he’s such a geek!

====
====

So when Babs zooms in on the scene and Brenda shows up in the frame I thought I was going to pee my pants.

There they go again…. Carrying her out!

====
====

Taylor is just too funny as he tries to read her the riot act.

Taylor:You know it's just... I would really hate to see you get blown up by a pipe bomb… just as I’ve gotten used to ya.

====
====

I got a really good chuckle out of her reaction when they blew the apartment up. Also laughed my ass off at poor Tao, I think he was heart broken.

Brenda:What about the computer? What about the cell phone?
Tao:What about Babs?

====
====

OMG. When they find out that the suspect/victim had a history of getting into trouble and that he’d shit on the principal’s desk I was so grossed out.
Provenza’s comment didn’t help
Provenza:Which means, he’s been dropping bombs is whole life.

====
====

Oh that “Soyjoy” snack bar on the desk in the media room looked sooooo yummy…

...NOT!

====
====

I loved Brenda’s reaction when they find more pipe bombs at the other kids house.
Brenda:Everbody out, everybody out…. AND SOMEBODY CALL BABS!

====
====

What I really can’t wrap my head around was why Brenda didn’t pull Will aside when he was about to do the press conference and clearly explain things to him?

====
====

OMG, it was so crazy intense when they were all on the roof. I sooooo love that sorta stuff.

I knew someone was going to get shot

====
====

So man oh man, poor Sanchez is having one hell of a bad year.

That scene when Brenda is holding Julio in the helicopter was so intense. I was praying that he wouldn't die but then on the other hand I was so relieved that it wasn’t Fritz…. But then again, that would have REALLY been intense.
